London Science Museum Bloids

Undertaken for the London Science Museum and delivered in June 2000, this project used multiple specialist skills to produce 10 large aluminium enclosures.

Overview

The special project was designed by Casson Mann and manufactured by Midland Alloy. It heavily utilised our 3D CAD, metal forming, fabrication and assembly skills.

Manufacture

Ten individually shaped large metal enclosures were made using 3D shaped structural aluminium frames and skins to encompass complex interactive educational displays.

Opening

The ‘Who Am I’ gallery at the London Science Museum was opened by HM the Queen on 27th June 2000. It has since been upgraded in 2012.
